It can be difficult to know when it’s time to ask for some extra help. Nurse-to-home services can be expensive and often, some basic home care is all that is needed. Generations Home Care offers quality in-home care to ease the difficulty of caring for aging parents. We are here to provide assistance so you and your loved one can continue to live your best lives. Our number one goal is to serve the seniors of Tacoma and surrounding areas with honesty and integrity.

Best Home Care Services

The guiding principle we strive to do business by is doing what is right, no matter who is watching. There are a lot of companies that promise everything will be perfect if you use their services. We know that life isn’t perfect and that making those kinds of promises is a sure way to create disappointment. That doesn’t mean we won’t try to provide a great experience for you and your loved one.

We want to provide you with the best home care services in the South Puget Sound. Our commitment is that we will do our best to provide services and care that add value to your life at an affordable price. We promise to listen to your concerns and feedback and to have open and frequent communication with you. We want you to feel the relief of knowing you have the resources and support you need to ensure the comfort and care of your loved one.

Our Process

Our Caregivers

Choosing the right caregiver is important. Having someone come into your home requires a lot of trust, which is why we only hire caregivers who we would trust to care for our own parents. You need to feel safe in your home and you should trust the person who comes in to care for you. If, at any time throughout your relationship with Generations Home Care, you feel like you aren’t getting the care you want or need, we will gladly assess the situation and make appropriate changes. We want you and your caregiver to enjoy a genuine friendship!

One of our most frequently asked questions is how we vet our care providers. They are required to go through the following during the hiring process:

  • Phone Interview
  • Name and Date of Birth Background Check
  • In-Person interview
  • Reference Check
  • Multi-day orientation and training
  • Fingerprint based background check
  • Continuing Education annually

All of our staff members have required certification in Washington State. They will be either Nursing Assistant-Certified or Home Care Aid Certified. Both certifications have continuing education requirements and license renewal requirements each year.

Our Clients

Just as our clients love our caregivers, our caregivers also love our clients! Our clients range in age from young adults to centenarians (100+ years old)! Their needs can be as simple as a little extra help with the basics at home, or as complex as late stage Alzheimer’s care or assistance with end of life care. Our staff will provide care anywhere from a personal residence to an assisted living facility.
