As we near the end of our relationship with Generations, I’d like to say a big THANK YOU for all that your whole team has done for our family. To the caregivers, you all became part of the family and made Dad’s life richer, more comfortable, and safer. You truly made a difference and we will miss you. Your work matters!! To the office staff, Cheryl, Jessica, Rachael, Ellen and Jeff, thank you for your concern and caring. Your immediate response when we needed you was such a relief and from then on we felt you had our backs and truly cared for Dad and the family. We were blessed to have been steered your way. We will never forget what you all meant to our family. THANK YOU!!

We want you or your loved one to get home care that will ease your burdens and provide a better quality of life. Our goal is to serve the people of Spokane with integrity and honesty.

Vanessa arrived at Generations Home Care with both direct care and administrative experience. She made an immediate impact through her high level organization and attention to detail. Chances are, if you call our main phone line, it will be Vanessa answering on the other end. She loves animals and spending time with her husband and family. We are better because of her.
Ellen Nelson

Ellen came to the GHC team with experience in senior living facilities and placement. Born and raised in Spokane, she has a heart for the people here. If you schedule an assessment with us, it is highly likely she’ll be the first face and connection you make with the company. She is a people person and loves spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Our Caregivers
At Generations Home Care, we have all had personal experience with the care of our aging parents. We know how important it is to trust and feel comfortable with the caregiver who comes into your home. During the hiring process, we work to vet our caregivers based on character, work experience, and references. Ultimately, we do our best to only hire caregivers who we would trust to care for our own parents. If, at any time during your relationship with Generations Home Care, you have concerns about the person who is caring for you, we will address it immediately. We want our clients to feel comfortable with us, as a company, and with their home care providers. We truly want you to form a lifelong friendship with your caregiver.
We are often asked how we vet our care providers. Our process is thorough and every prospective employee is required to go through the following during the hiring process:
- Phone Interview
- Name and Date of Birth Background Check
- In-Person interview
- Reference Check
- Multi-day orientation and training
- Fingerprint based background check
- Continuing Education annually
We comply with all federal and state regulations and all of our staff members have the required Washington State certification. Our caregivers are either Nursing Assistant-Certified or Home Care Air Certified. Both certifications have annual license renewals and continuing education requirements.
