Loren joined the GHC team around five months ago. He grew up in anchorage Alaska and then moved to Gig Harbor in 2006. He now lives in Tacoma. He loves soccer and has traveled to 10 countries–mostly to do mission work. He enjoys history, culture and ethnic differences.
Before coming to our agency, Loren worked as a valet at the Hotel Murano and a CNA at the Weatherly Inn working with Memory Care for patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Loren believes in attentive listening, granting as much independence as possible to the patient, and engaging them with humor, joy and considerate respect. Loren learned from his new client to write lists of what the client requires through out the day. Making these lists helps him think of new and creative ways to serve his clients and support their independence. He is thankful to be working for Generations Homecare. The office staff are easy to contact and great communicators. Loren’s favorite part about working with GHC is the ability to focus and his clients care and to learn about their life. He can be more intentional asking the clients for things that promote independence and future planning. Loren is excited to continue to learn more as a Certified Nursing Assistant and improve in his caregiving skills.
